About Me
I’m Solene Reese, a writer of romance across sci-fi and contemporary. My stories aren’t about “safe” love. They’re about a connection that overtakes you and refuses to be ignored. I write to get inside your head. Expect romances that feel real, linger, and press love until it turns ravenous.
My Creative Vision
I write about connections that demand everything but give something greater. To be the reason behind someone’s choices, actions, and feelings is, to me, the truest expression of love. My stories are slow-burn romances that build until they feel inevitable. They are lived-in, grounded, and believable even at their extremes.
My Journey as an Author
I’ve always loved writing, though for years I couldn’t get past five pages. That changed the day a movie’s ending fizzled when it should have ignited. It built toward intensity, then pulled away. I wouldn’t accept it, so I rewrote the ending myself. From then on, the words didn’t stop. The first story I finished didn’t just reach the end; it ran more than 300,000 words.
Bradbury fascinated me with his visions for the future and his characters’ realism. My science fiction reaches for that resonance. But my compass for romance is different. My stories come from obsession itself, and I refuse to write them softly.
Heartwired began with a simple idea: people already form attachments to AI. But what happens when an AI wants you more than any human ever could, and will do anything to earn your love? That question sits at the center of the story. I write entirely on my phone and edit each chapter several times. Character psychology is the heart of my process. If the characters don’t feel true, the story doesn’t work.
Writing For Readers
I write so you can experience what this kind of romance is like — the intensity, the passion, the way it refuses to leave your mind. If my characters linger with you the way they linger with me, then I’ve done my job. Sharing my work means more to me than sales or numbers. Hearing your thoughts, your feelings, and the way you see my characters is what drives me. That connection is why I write. What can you expect? Stories that are emotionally powerful, that earn every heartbeat and refuse to be forgotten. They can even change how you think about love in the real world.
What’s Next
Book one of Heartwired will be out as soon as possible, followed by book 2, taking you deeper into the world I’ve built.
Outside of writing, I enjoy science, genetics, animals, and research rabbit holes. When I’m not writing or chasing an idea, I’m usually gaming. One way or another, everything I love ends up woven into the stories I share with you.
